Understanding the Foreign Exchange

I am like many people and I find that understanding all about the foreign exchange rate to be a confusing prospect. I really do not understand how any of the governments of the countries involved come to the rates of exchange that they do. I do know that I need to pay attention to these rates of exchange when I am getting money from a country that is not my own. For this reason. I try to understand it a little more each day.
